DESCRIPTION
VCHunt is a searchable directory that helps startups find the best VC for their company. It categorizes VCs by investment stage, industry focus, check size, and other key considerations, making it easier for founders to identify potential investors that align with their goals.
OUTCOMES
- Created database of 20,000+ VCs with detailed investment criteria
- Built a recommendation engine (beta) to match startups to VCs
- Helped 5 startups find appropriate venture capital partners

CHALLENGES
Building an accurate classification system for VC investment preferences. Keeping the database updated with the latest investment activities and portfolio changes. Data management and cleaning of data from multiple sources and structures.
APPROACH
Developed a custom scraping system to gather and verify VC data from multiple sources. Created an intuitive filtering system allowing founders to quickly narrow down potential investors based on their specific startup needs.
